  • 2022

    Presentation of the new GENERATION 3 at the PALFINGER Event Week, Elmia Wood in Sweden and the main trade fair INTERFORST in Munich. It comes with a new outreach of almost 11m, two new centralized greasing options, COMFORT DRIVE, the assistance system SMART CONTROL and new outtrigger options. 
  • 2020

    New challenges, as well as the large increase in production and internationalization have already led to a strong increase in employees at EPSILON in recent years. Therefore, the innovation center, which opened in 2015, became too small. In order to offer the employees an adequate workplace and to be prepared for further growth, the construction of two floors has been started since early summer 2019, which can now be occupied in early 2020.

    Thanks to Smart Control, the new boom tip controller, crane operation is easier, more intuitive and faster than ever.

    The new Virtual Drive – as a concept study, the virtual-reality (VR) control system developed by PALFINGER EPSILON offers some early insight into the control technology of tomorrow.

    EPSILON presents the globally unique design for a hydraulically height-adjustable side seat based on the tried-and-tested Master Drive control system. The new side seat can now be lowered hydraulically to a suitable access level directly via the entry area at the base. This means that the operator does not have to climb a ladder to reach the seat, as the seat now comes to the operator.
  • 2015

    In spring 2015, the innovation centre was acquired at the previous location in Elsbethen, near Salzburg. With a new assembly hall, a new production line and the innovation centre, the site underwent major expansion and was outfitted with the latest equipment.
  • 2014

    In 2014, the new M-Series from 'The Next EPSOLUTION' model range was launched at Interforst in Munich. On this occasion, development focused predominantly on the perfect amalgamation of design, comfort and technology.

    The first harvester crane model was officially presented at KWF.

    Greater internationalisation: Brazil, North America, Japan, Russia, India.

    The EPSOLUTION model range was launched in 2008, focusing on boosting efficiency and making maintenance and servicing easier.
  • 2006

    OFF-ROAD market launch.
  • 2005

    In 2005, as the company celebrated its 25th anniversary, the EPSILON Plus range was launched, emphasising the concept of 'EPSILON for every application'. Development was limitless and raised the bar with the new OFF-ROAD range.
  • 2000

    In 2000, EPSILON finally found its future home, as the new corporate headquarters, including a new assembly hall, opened in Elsbethen.
  • 1999

    Development on the new Performance series began in 1999, representing a major step forwards in terms of innovation.
  • 1996

    Station 2: EPSILON moves to Köstendorf (Salzburg).
  • 1993

    EPSILON moves to Austria; more specifically, to Lengau (Upper Austria).
  • 1988

    The company was partially acquired by the PALFINGER Group in 1988. This paved the way for further internationalisation, which proceeded apace in subsequent years.
  • 1980

    EPSILON started life when it was established in Regenstauf, Germany, in 1980. At first, the company produced only L-cranes, primarily for the German market.
