ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY by PALFINGER EPSILON

Forestry and the manipulation of recyclable materials are the basic pillars of our company – consequently sustainable business and environmental protection are vital parts of our corporate principles. Our pursuit of highest quality combined with our claim to innovation leadership makes the diligent use of resources inevitable. This not only applies to our products but also to our employees in all areas of their activities, whether in the product development or in the everyday work environment. The aim of our environmental policy is on the one hand to encourage our employees’ awareness towards environmental protection and on the other hand to reduce the amount of resources used with each further product development, respectively if the resources used are the same to increase the efficiency of products. Therefore for all further developments of our products the following irrevocable guideline applies:

LIGHTER, LONGER, STRONGER!

This principle is determined by the ratio weight, outreach and lifting capacity.

G [kg] / R [m] / H [kNm]

The lower the value, the lower the use of raw material. In other words: an efficient use of the material results in more payload for the supporting truck. For every revision of our products, the WOC- ratio (weight, outreach, (lifting) capacity) must be lower than the one of the comparable previous model.If the value is identical, at least a longer service life, extended maintenance interval or reduced maintenance costs must be ensured. Beside the impact of our products on the environment, we ensure that our employees contribute to a healthy working environment through appropriate training (use of work equipment, transport optimization on delivery/shipping,…). A healthy working environment protects the health of our employees and our environment.
