PALFORET Tour 2015 – grand opening at the Truck Racing Championship in France

End of September, the Truck Racing Championship took place in Clermont-Ferrant/France. A great occasion for the PALFINGER France team to invite customers and other professionals from all over France to the opening ceremony of the PALFORET Tour 2015 and thereby introduce the newly developed PALFORET sales concept. On a dreamlike weekend, over 1,000 guests followed the invitation to enjoy an exclusive insight on the new demo trucks as well as a thrilling competition on the racetrack.

By introducing the PALFORET concept, a completely new approach has been adopted to meet the different requirements in the French timber logging industry with optimized solutions. While short wood haulage may be dominant in the south-west, long wood applications are most popular in the north and east of the country. However, even in areas where long wood haulage dominates, there are significant regional differences. Whereas in the east, wood is predominantly hauled with three-axle dollies, the preferred means of transport in the north are large semi-trailers. Therefore, optimized bodybuilding solutions for each of these very unique requirements have now been developed and will be sold by PALFINGER France as full-range supplier in future. In addition, a "Timber Experts" system has been set up to ensure the best possible customer support. Each of the three experts is responsible for a particular region or haulage cluster and will train the local dealers individually. Another great asset of the concept is the far-reaching service network of the French PALFINGER organization. With 125 service partners throughout the country this system offers the most close-knit service network on the market.

In a specially designated area near the race track, the visitors could explore three new PALFORET Demo Trucks and learn about the background and potential of the concept. It soon became clear that the new sales approach gained a lot of attention by customers and was taken on with great enthusiasm. To make the many benefits of the PALORET concept even more visible to customers all over France, the show trucks will be on demo tour throughout the country. In the coming month, interested professionals will be able to gaze the recent developments and test their applicability in the field – a great way for customers not only to see, but to feel the potential of this new approach!
