At last week’s international dealer conference, the perfect occasion finally arose for the official opening of the modern innovation centre, together with the new assembly hall. Customers from throughout Europe were in attendance as the management opened the new building. At the ceremony, Managing Director Stefan Oberleitner was supported by five selected dealers. There was one dealer representative in attendance representing each of the furthest-flung locations of the dealers present, to the north, south, west and east of the innovation centre in Elsbethen. The fifth representative stood for the longest-lasting cooperation partnership – TH White is an EPSILON partner in the UK, and has been for over 30 years. After a brief foray into the company’s eventful past, the management lost no time in directing attention to the strong present and the exciting future:

“EPSILON is a technology and global market leader for timber and recycling cranes – a position that we not only want to maintain in the years to come, but further expand. The modern innovation centre in Elsbethen plays a major role in this. The technical opportunities as well as the short paths between development and production offer the ideal conditions for demonstrating our leadership in innovation in the future as well and continuing to set industry trends,” says Hannes Steindl (GF Development).

Following the opening, the numerous visitors availed of the chance to inspect the entire plant premises and to familiarise themselves with every step of the assembly process – an opportunity that can only be offered to a very limited extent while normal production is in operation due to the strict safety regulations. In addition, the different control variants (cabin and master drive) of the new EPSILON M-series were available for live testing in the Action Park. Patrik and Markus, both of whom have been test drivers for new EPSILON developments for years now, also presented the new hydraulically piloted joysticks and once again showed precisely how people can work with this control system.
