With the “Forest Romania 2015”, the first forestry demo fair of Romania took place in the center of the country, in Transylvania. The fair was launched by the organizers of Elmia Wood, the largest forestry trade fair in the world, which takes place every four years in Sweden and has become a fixed point on every forestry trade fair calendar. At the new exhibition area in Zizin/Romania products and services of around 80 international and Romanian manufacturers were to be seen and tested.

As usual with the Elmia Wood, also the focus here was very much on live demonstrations of the machines in difficult terrain. Along a two kilometer long circular path especially off road machinery like harvesters, forwarders, skidder and cable cranes could show their performance by lifting huge hardwood logs with very large diameters in extremely steep terrain. At the exhibition area in the valley the exhibitors presented their range of logging cranes, splitters, hackers, mobile sawmills and other machinery in action. The team of Terra Romania has done a great job by not only setting the Epsilon products perfectly in scene, but also offering the visitors the opportunity to literally experience the latest products at first hand. Directly on the booth a brand new MAN truck with a dewy M12Z 105 crane invited the visitors for some trial work and shoptalk. Thereby especially the new Master Drive driver's seat along with the new EPSHOOD-protection caused some sensation with the Romanian customers. Once at the “wheel”, the test drivers were particularly impressed by the noticeable gain of precision caused by the hydraulically pilot-controlled joysticks. This optional control variant offers decisive advantages in handling and ensures that the responsiveness of the joysticks remain constant for years.

Next to this control variant and the new seating concept, the extension of the double-telescope up to 10.5m with Z-cranes and the shift of all hydraulic hoses inside the frame are the key developments of the current EPSILON crane generation. Some testers were even so excited by the new working and sitting comfort of the all-new M-Series that they did not want to get out anymore. Therefore a customer bought the exhibition crane directly on the spot, and thus acquired the first crane of the new M-series which has been delivered to Romania so far.
