Distances are long at Finland’s countryside. People are widely spread and frequently living quite remote. As a result the next fire station can be miles away. And even if the forces are in the field in time, special equipment is often unavailable within the given time. Thus, if the worst comes to the worst also unusual measures are taken to help the victims as good and fast as possible.

This happened once again in the case of a burning farmhouse in the remote mid-west of Finland some weeks ago. For clear-up operations after the fire a strong crane was urgently needed. Luckily the fire chief knew the local wood haulage company Puukuljetus Vesala Oy and asked the owner for help.

Mr. Vesala did not ask much and immediately urged to the scene to support the fire brigade with his newest purchase, a brand new EPSILON Q150 crane. Thanks to the unusual help of this powerful timber crane, the fire brigade could start the clear-up of debris and the wrecked car promptly that night. Not only so, as shown on the pictures attached the crane could also be used to secure detached masts or similar, if necessary…

Fortunately, the fire only caused material damage and no one was injured during this incident. But only because of the fast and non-bureaucratic help of Mr. Vesalas’ the fire brigade could get down to the fundamentals and manage the most urgent clear-up operations already that night. Thus, Mr. Vesela will certainly be invited to the next local fire brigade party and in case anything happens to one of his four EPSILON equipped wood haulage trucks, he definitely can count on the brigades’ help at any time.
