PALFINGER EPSILON endeavours to constantly develop innovations that provide immediately noticeable improvements in the day-to-day work of drivers and hauliers.

As a result, in early summer 2016, PALFINGER EPSILON presented the globally unique concept of a hydraulically height-adjustable side seat based on the tried-and-tested Master Drive control system and asked end customers for their feedback.
The suggestions and requests received were immediately included in the further development of the design and taken into account when creating the prototype.

The new side seat can now be hydraulically lowered to a suitable access level directly via the entry area at the base. This means that the driver does not have to climb a ladder to reach the seat, as the seat comes to the driver. From there, the operator can conveniently and, more importantly, safely take their place at the control stand and hydraulically move up to the desired working position. The new side seat also offers a seating position that is 30 cm higher, therefore ensuring an even better overview. In addition, the swivel radius, which is particularly important for container setups, has been significantly improved by the new design.

It goes without saying that the proven benefits of Master Drive, including hydraulically controlled joysticks, greater safety and optimum control thanks to the particularly sensitive controller, remain unchanged. The acclaimed EPSHOOD operator protection is also available as an option for this control variant. A operational prototype for this globally unique seat design will be available to test at IAA (22.-29. Sept 2016, Hannover DE) as well as at Klagenfurter Holzmesse (01.-04. Sept 2016, Klagenfurt AT).
