20 years of PALFINGER France – congratulations from EPSILON

This year, the France sales conference was the ideal opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the PALFINGER France organisation.
In addition to making interesting tracks on the newest PALFINGER products, the 120-strong delegation used their time in Austria to visit the local PALFINGER plants in Lengau and Köstendorf as well as the new headquarters in Bergheim.
On Friday morning, accompanied by bright sunshine and pleasant late-summer temperatures, the delegation also paid a visit to the PALFINGER EPSILON site in Elsbethen.

PALFORET – new sales concept launched successfully

Lead by Peter Pürgy, Area Sales Manager for France, the EPSILON team warmly welcomed their guests and used the opportunity to thank the entire PALFINGER France network for their excellent cooperation over the years. Since the turn of the millennium, PALFINGER France has received over 2,200 EPSILON cranes, with a particularly sharp increase of almost 40 percent from 2014 to 2015. In addition to the customarily good sales activities in France, this above-average development is due, in particular, to the successful launch of the jointly developed PALFORET project. A sales concept has been developed in close collaboration between PALFINGER FRANCE and EPSILON that specifically respects the considerable regional differences within the timber transport industry in France. This involved the creation of separate “timber experts” for each application – a PALFINGER France contact person with particular expertise in the respective branch specialities. Moreover, thanks to its cooperation with Faymonville and Vincent, PALFINGER was able to develop a complete truck, crane and mounting solution for every application.

Great interest in EPSILON plant tour

Against this backdrop, our colleagues from France visibly enjoyed their extensive tour of the EPSILON plant, with all visitors showing particular interest when they were given the opportunity to finally view the entire assembly process for EPSILON cranes. The visitors were particularly astonished with the output at the plant in Elsbethen. After all, over 3,000 cranes left the factory floor here in 2015 despite the relocation of all assembly processes to the new innovation centre.

PALFINGER EPSILON celebrates the anniversary

In the assembly area, the opportunity was also taken to present the team with an anniversary cake. The management team from PALFINGER France, Emilie Fraisse and Francois Vincent, accepted the best wishes of EPSILON Managing Director Stefan Oberleitner and Area Sales Manager Peter Pürgy on behalf of the entire France delegation. The whole EPSILON team greatly enjoyed the visit from these colleagues and is looking forward to continued close cooperation.
