Young talent of HTL Hallein: Victoria Zuckerstätter shines with diploma thesis in cooperation with PALFINGER EPSILON

When looking for a suitable company for her final school project, Victoria's first thought was immediately PALFINGER EPSILON. Victoria demonstrated determination and sociability when she approached our HR department to present her idea of a joint diploma thesis. She found open ears, especially with Martin Galler, the team leader of quality management. Together with EPSILON and HTL Hallein, they were determined to push ahead with the project.

The topic of her diploma thesis was of great importance to PALFINGER EPSILON: quality management in the area of palletizing cranes. Here it turned out that the process could vary from crane to crane, although the basic procedure had similarities. This led to avoidable errors and delays. With a focus on Kaizen, this is a goal for long-term business success with small steps and improvements.  

Victoria set itself the ambitious goal of minimizing these problems and creating a safe process for every crane execution. Working closely with Andreas Parzer from Quality Management, she developed a detailed work instruction that served as a guide for optimized palletizing for employees and was applied in the relevant areas - inspectors, shipping and finisher department.

Supported by a dedicated quality management team, Victoria was able to successfully complete her thesis and received the excellent rating "Very Good", something the entire PALFINGER EPSILON team looks back on with pride.
